SUPPORTING KRUSCE VILLAGE

Action "firewood" for socially-disadvantaged families of Palilula shows more and more that in what kind of circumstances a part of our population lives. Member of Municipal Council Milos Stojkovic, visited Krušce village and after the proposition of president of the Council of the citizens, Tomislav Stojanovic, he visited the houses of Srdjan Milosevic and Zarko Stojkovic. Palilula Municipality provided each three metres of firewood.

Srdjan Milosevic (52) lives in the village and has a seven-member family. He was employed in Juzna Morava, but was fired about a year ago. He lives with his wife Tatjana, 35, ill with bronchial asthma Jelica mother, 83, immobile, and his four children. Son of Miroslav, 17, Milica 16, Mladen, 12 and Miljan 3 years old. Miroslav and Milica go to Trade school. Mladen is in primary school "Desanka Maksimovic" and is an excellent student. They live from the child benefit and social assistance is not enough for this big family. They have a long debt for electricity in the amount of more than 150,000 dinars.

Zarko Stojkovic, 48 years old and lives in the village as a single in Krušce. He worked in the Binacka Morava for 22 years and was fired before the privatization. There is no income. He is illiterate and unable to find work. His mother died 3 years ago and his father long ago. There are health problems (high blood pressure and blood sugar). There are debts for electricity.

Councilman Stojkovic visited aslo the family of Dragica Jovanovic.. She was born in 1961. She lives with her daughter Katarina, third grade Medical School. They live on social money which is 8200 dinars. They suffer from depression after the death of her mother. She is extremely thin and can not move independently. According to her words the aid in firewood means a lot to them.
